Writer's picture: Advance WeatherAdvance Weather

Heat Warnings have expanded across Southern Ontario, now including the Southwest, the Golden Horseshoe, the GTA, and portions of Eastern Ontario, including Ottawa.

Environment Canada states that daytime high temperatures are expected to be between 29 and 31°C with humidex values near 40°C. Nighttime low temperatures are expected to be near 20°C, providing little relief from the heat.

Poor air quality will be possible over the next number of days due to the hot and humid conditions potentially creating elevated pollution levels.

Ensure you limit your time outdoors and remain hydrated. Extreme heat affects everyone.

Cooler air is expected to move into the region on Tuesday.
