Blowing and Drifting Snow expected Tuesday night

While the snowfall begins to move out of the region tonight, blowing and drifting snow will become the next hazard.

Regions that are expecting 60-70 km/h wind gusts will be the most at risk for blowing and drifting snow. Winds are expected to pick up slightly overnight into Wednesday. Open areas will see blowing and drifting through the overnight into Wednesday morning.

Winds are expected to remain fairly gusty Wednesday morning, with gusts expected to remain near 60 km/h across the region. Winds will begin to ease late Wednesday afternoon, when the blowing and drifting snow will come to an end.
