Hot and Humid Temperatures Continue This Week

A heat wave will slowly begin across the region starting on Tuesday. The heat will continue until Friday afternoon, when the temperatures are expected to begin falling.


On Tuesday, temperatures will begin to climb across the region, feeling warmer than Monday. This will begin the heat wave.


Area Breakdown:

35-40ºC: Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, London, Goderich

30-35ºC: Kincardine, Stratford, Woodstock, Simcoe

25-30ºC: Tobermory, Kitchener, Brantford, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Barrie, Parry Sound, Kingston, Peterborough, Cornwall, Ottawa, Bancroft


Wednesday appears to be the warmest day of the week.


Area Breakdown:

40-45ºC: Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, London

35-40ºC: Goderich, Tobermory, Kitchener, Brantford, Simcoe, Niagara Falls, Hamilton

30-35ºC: Toronto, Barrie, Parry Sound, Huntsville, Peterborough, Kingston, Cornwall, Ottawa, Bancroft


With hot and humid temperatures, it is important to limit your time in the sun. Consider postponing outdoor activities until later in the day when temperatures are cooler. Stay hydrated and monitor health conditions for at-risk individuals, such as children and the elderly.
