Snow Squalls will develop off Lake Huron late Thursday night, bringing hazardous travel conditions to areas off the lake. The squalls will continue through Friday before tapering off Friday evening.
The hardest hit areas will include Listowel, Wingham, Owen Sound, Collingwood, Bracebridge and Huntsville, where 10 to 15 cm is expected. Amounts may be locally higher in snow squalls.
Driving conditions can vary in only a few kilometers due to snow squalls. Drivers may encounter poor visibility, and it may change to clear conditions in only a few kilometres.
Snow Squall Watches have been issued by Environment Canada for areas expecting the most accumulation.
