Multi-Day Winter Storm
A multi-day winter storm is headed for the region, and it has already begun.
As of 4 pm, the rain across most of the region is expected to transition into light snow for most areas. In the Niagara region and the GTA, a rain/snow mix is expected.
By 4 am, the precipitation is expected to transition to all snow, and will continue all day into Wednesday morning for some regions. Gusty winds are also expected, bringing the concern for blowing and drifting snow.
By late Tuesday evening, the snow is expected to taper off. We are expecting 15 to 25 cm in Southwestern Ontario, with the potential for Lake Enhancement in Lambton county. The rest of the region, excluding the GTA and Niagara region is expecting 10 to 15 cm. The GTA and Niagara Region can expect 5 to 10 cm, potentially lower.
Updates to this map will be provided if deemed necessary.
Most of the region will see 5 to 10 mm by the time the rain switches over to snow Monday evening. The GTA and Niagara region are expected to see more rain, with 10 to 20 mm expected.
