For all students across Ontario, remote learning will begin on Monday, January 4, 2021.
The Ontario government made the announcement in conjunction with the announcement of the province-wide shutdown on December 21.
All schools across the province will be closed from January 4th to January 8th.
All elementary and secondary schools in the following public health unit regions can reopen on January 11, 2021:
The District of Algoma Health Unit
North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit
Northwestern Health Unit
Porcupine Health Unit
Sudbury and District Health Unit
Thunder Bay District Health Unit
Timiskaming Health Unit
For schools in all other public health units, all elementary schools are expected to reopen on January 11, 2021. All secondary schools are expected to reopen on January 25, 2021.
