Snow Squalls Beginning Monday

Snow Squalls will develop off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay once again early Monday morning. Dangerous driving conditions are expected.

Areas such as Owen Sound, Midland, Orillia, Barrie, Port Elgin and Tobermory can expect 35 to 40 cm of snow, and amounts will become less the further away from this area you go.

Areas such as Peterborough that normally do not typically see snow squalls can even expect 15 to 20 cm.

Snow Squalls are tricky to forecast as amounts can vary greatly locally.

Caution should be exercised in areas where heavy snow is expected. Blowing snow and poor visibility are likely.
