A hot and humid day is expected across the state tomorrow, bringing along with it the risk for showers and strong to severe thunderstorms.
Rain and embedded thunderstorms will move across the area tonight. Some torrential downpours and damaging wind gusts will be possible.
Poor air quality is expected tomorrow due to elevated levels of Ozone. The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Allegan, Berrien, Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa and Van Buren counties in west Michigan. Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. It is recommended to avoid activities such as refueling vehicles and using gas powered lawn equipment, as these increase Ozone levels.
There will be a threat for severe weather tomorrow across the state, particularly in the Upper Peninsula. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible, including threats of torrential downpours, flash flooding, and damaging wind gusts. More details will be posted tomorrow.
