Rain will move into the region tonight and continue through the day tomorrow. Some breezy conditions are expected to develop as well.
Special Weather Statements have been issued for Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario from Environment Canada. They state that rainfall amounts of 25 to 45 mm are expected by Saturday morning, with the potential for higher amounts within thunderstorms. They also state that wind gusts of 80 km/h are expected in some areas Friday evening.
The system moving into the area will bring some whiplash in terms of weather conditions. Rain and strong wind gusts are expected, along with the potential for severe weather in some areas tomorrow. Rain is expected to transition to snow for some areas late on Friday into Saturday.
