Another Windy Tuesday Expected

Strong wind gusts will develop across the region tomorrow morning during daybreak, continuing through much of the morning before likely easing slightly during the afternoon. Power outages and downed trees may be possible with these strong wind gusts through the day tomorrow.


By tomorrow morning, much of the region is expected to see wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h, including Southwestern Ontario, Midwestern Ontario, the GTA, and the Golden Horseshoe. Eastern and Central Ontario are expected to see wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h.


Winds will likely ease slightly during the afternoon hours, with wind gusts of 50 to 60 km/h expected throughout Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario, as well as the GTA, the Golden Horseshoe, and Eastern Ontario. Central Ontario is expected to see wind gusts of 40 to 50 km/h during the afternoon.


As we look towards tomorrow evening into Wednesday, and early Wednesday morning, some stronger wind gusts are possible with the passage of a cold front. At this time, much of the area is expected to see wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h with the potential for wind gusts over 80 km/h. Some uncertainty remains regarding the exact wind speeds and locations affected. Stay tuned for further updates.
