Chance for Accumulating Snow in Central Ontario Wednesday

With rain in the forecast tomorrow, some areas within the higher elevations of Central Ontario will likely see a transition over to some snow as temperatures remain near the freezing mark.

Although this snow is expected to remain wet and likely accumulate on grassy surfaces for the most part, if surface temperatures are cool enough, it may begin to accumulate on the roads. However, amounts are not expected to be significant, with less than 5 centimetres expected.

During the afternoon and evening hours, roads may become slushy and slippery as the snow falls. With strong wind gusts in the forecast, visibility may become reduced. Consider allowing additional travel time during the afternoon and evening, especially along Highways 28, 41, 60, 62, 118 and 127.
