Contract Negotiations Update: November 3, 2022

Mediation has ended between CUPE and the Ontario government, meaning that the full withdrawal of services will proceed, beginning tomorrow, Friday, November 4, 2022.

The Ontario government plans to proceed with legislation, which is expected to pass today, to ban strikes and keep students in the classroom.

Due to the full withdrawal of services, some Ontario school boards have chosen to close schools to students until an agreement is reached. Details on school closures are outlined below. Parents are encouraged to visit local school board websites for further details.
