The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) says that their 55,000 education worker members in Ontario, including custodians, early childhood educators and administration staff, will be in a legal strike position as of November 3, 2022.
Talks were scheduled between Monday and today, however, talks have broken down and will resume on November 1, 2022.
CUPE would be in a legal strike position two days after talks resume again. In the event of any job action, CUPE is still required to give five days notice.
