Snow squalls causing near whiteout conditions are expected tomorrow for portions of the traditional snowbelts, while the rest of the region sees flurries and possibly some heavier snow showers. Arctic air will also flood in, bringing cold wind chills through the day.

Blizzard Warnings, Snow Squall Warnings, Snow Squall Watches, Blowing Snow Advisories and Winter Weather Travel Advisories all remain in effect at this time. Snow squalls are expected to cause travel conditions to be near impossible in Midwestern Ontario tonight into tomorrow. Travel is not advised. Heavy snowfall and strong wind gusts will cause blowing and drifting snow. Road closures are expected.

Rainfall Warnings continue in Eastern Ontario tonight as well. Given the frozen ground, water due to rain and snowmelt could accumulate on roads and in low-lying areas.

Some heavier snow showers, or deformed snow squalls, are expected in Southwestern and Eastern Ontario tomorrow. These can quickly coat the roadways and cause snowfall to accumulate quickly. Visibility can rapidly drop as well within these snow showers or deformed squalls.

Strong wind gusts are expected tomorrow across the region, with wind gusts up to 70 km/h possible. Any area that has received snowfall will experience blowing and drifting snow.

Be sure to bundle up tomorrow morning as wind chills will be near -20ºC. Many areas will see wind chills in the negative teens throughout the day tomorrow.
