Confidence is increasing for a winter storm beginning Thursday across the region, and lasting through Saturday. Multiple precipitation types are expected, including rain, freezing rain, and snow. Strong wind gusts of 80 km/h or greater and blowing snow are also expected. Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued Special Weather Statements for most of the region.
