Wednesday will bring a warmer day to the area, along with a mix of sun and cloud once again. Some rain or snow is possible for Central and Eastern Ontario, but should be short lived.

Some freezing drizzle is occurring this evening, leading to ice covered roadways and sidewalks. This will continue through the overnight hours for some areas. Allow a few extra minutes for your morning commute. Slippery surfaces may be difficult to detect.

Looking ahead to Thursday, some rain is expected. A Flash Freeze event is looking likely early Friday morning as temperatures really tumble, leading to icy road conditions. Rain will likely transition to snow, and snow squalls will likely develop off the lakes. Strong wind gusts over 90 km/h are possible.
