Monday will bring deteriorating conditions to the area, beginning with a rapid drop in temperature during the morning, leading to a flash freeze event.

Rain and freezing rain continue tonight and will transition to snow as the arctic cold front moves through the area. The rapid drop in temperature will lead to icy conditions rapidly developing on roadways and sidewalks.

Snow is expected across the region tomorrow, however the most impacted areas will be off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay where blizzard conditions are likely due to snow squalls and strong wind gusts. Very poor travel conditions are expected, along with road closures. Travel should be avoided where possible.

The rest of the region will likely see narrow bands of heavy snow which will create rapid reductions in visibility. Travel conditions will be poor at times.

Power outages are likely across the region tomorrow due to the strong wind gusts. Visit the STORM CENTRE for the latest information.
