Friday will bring widespread snow to the region, along with strong wind gusts during the evening hours.

Tomorrow is an Advance Weather Alert Day due to the expected impacts during the morning commute, as well as throughout the day. As the snow pushes eastward in the afternoon and evening, wind gusts will increase, leading to blowing and drifting snow.

Road closures are likely due to the expected blowing snow. Poor visibility will be a concern across much of the region. Blowing Snow Advisories (Yellow Level) and Special Weather Statements are in effect.

Bitterly cold temperatures are expected Saturday morning, with many areas likely seeing wind chills of -35ºC. Stay tuned for further updates.
