Saturday will begin with bitterly cold wind chills across the region, with flurries and blowing snow remaining in the forecast.
Wind gusts of 50 km/h are likely throughout the day tomorrow for many areas. Blowing snow is expected to continue, and will likely lead to poor visibility, poor road conditions, and potential road closures. Some flurries and snow showers are likely along the Lake Huron shoreline and in Eastern Ontario.
Tomorrow will be an Advance Weather Alert Day due to the expected cold wind chills. Much of the region will likely see wind chills of -35ºC to -40ºC. Areas near the lakeshores will see some relief from the cold.
Road closures are in place this evening and many areas are reporting poor weather and road conditions. If possible, please avoid travelling until conditions improve.
