Weather conditions will change through the day tomorrow. Mainly sunny skies will be the story to begin the day before travel conditions deteriorate quickly.
Wind gusts will strengthen tomorrow through the day, reaching over 100 km/h in some areas. Wind Warnings and Special Weather Statements are in effect. This is expected to cause blowing and drifting snow across the region, as well as poor travel conditions. Road closures will be possible as conditions deteriorate.
Snow will begin in the afternoon hours in Central and Southcentral Ontario, causing blizzard conditions in Central Ontario where Blizzard Warnings are in place. Whiteout conditions are expected across much of the region. A frontal snow squall will begin moving through the area later in the evening and overnight into Tuesday, causing very poor travel conditions. Winter Weather Travel Advisories are also in effect.
Take caution if travelling tomorrow and prepare for changing conditions. More information is available in the STORM CENTRE.
