Daily Forecast: July 28, 2023

A mainly sunny day is expected across the region once again tomorrow with hot and humid temperatures as well as yet another threat for severe weather.

We are expecting two risk areas for severe weather at this time. Eastern Ontario, particularly near the Quebec border, will have a risk for severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Southwestern Ontario will have a risk for severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening as well.

A large complex of thunderstorms is expected to move into Southwestern Ontario during the overnight hours into Saturday morning. There remains some uncertainty on the exact timing and threats. All details on both risk areas will be posted tomorrow. We encourage the public to have a plan in place and know where to go if severe weather strikes. We also recommend everyone has multiple ways to receive weather alerts (radio, television, cell phone apps, etc.)

Heat Warnings continue across much of the region. Humidex values of 40°C are expected tomorrow before cooler temperatures move in on Saturday. We encourage everyone to stay hydrated and avoid long periods of time outdoors.

Poor air quality will be possible once again tomorrow due to the hot and humid temperatures. We encourage everyone to stay mindful of symptoms of air pollution.

High temperatures will range from 28°C to 34°C across the region. Temperatures in pink represent forecasted humidex values.
