A complex of thunderstorms will move into the area overnight and continue into early Saturday. Showers are expected to continue throughout the day with a risk of a pop-up thunderstorm. Outside from the rain and thunderstorms, a mix of sun and cloud is expected.


Severe Thunderstorm Watches remain in effect for portions of Eastern Ontario as well as Southwestern Ontario. Threats for Southwestern Ontario tonight may include heavy rainfall with local amounts of 50 mm, up to toonie size hail and wind gusts up to 90 km/h overnight into Saturday.


Heat Warnings also remain in place from Environment and Climate Change Canada. Cooler temperatures are expected tomorrow with lower humidity as well.


High temperatures will range from 21°C to 27°C across the region. Temperatures in pink represent forecasted humidex values.
