A mix of sun and cloud is expected across the region tomorrow, along with hot and humid temperatures. Some rain will be around in the morning in Eastern Ontario.
Heat Warnings have been issued by Environment Canada for all of Southern Ontario. They state that dangerously hot and humid temperatures are expected through most of the week, and possibly into the weekend.
We are expecting the extreme heat to persist through much of the week, with high temperatures expected to be in the 30s and humidex values into the 40s. We encourage everyone to stay hydrated and avoid extended periods of time in the sun. Extreme heat is dangerous for everyone, however the effects are worse for children, pets, and the elderly.
There will be a risk for showers and thunderstorms tomorrow across the region, fueled by the hot and humid temperatures. There is the potential for some thunderstorms to be severe and more details will be posted tomorrow. Areas that receive passing showers and thunderstorms to see a decrease in temperature.
