A very hot and humid day is expected across the region for Sunday. Mainly sunny skies are forecasted, with some clouds possible.

With high temperatures in the mid 30s and humidex values into the mid 40s across the area, avoid extended periods of time in the sun and ensure you stay hydrated. Drink water even before you feel thirsty. Check on young children, the elderly and your pets. Heat Warnings are in effect across Southern Ontario.

There may be some showers around tomorrow, along with the risk for pop-up thunderstorms.

The heat wave will continue mid-week with humidex values into the mid 40s for Monday and Tuesday. More information will be posted when further data becomes available.
