More smoke will continue across most of the region tomorrow, while more eastern areas get a break and some better air quality.
Special Air Quality Statements remain in effect across most of the region. Smoke will move in tomorrow across Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario. The GTHA, Peterborough, and Niagara regions are expected to see some localized smoke. Regions that see smoke tomorrow will experience deteriorating air quality and outdoor activities should be cancelled. Poor visibility in smoke will be possible.
Nearly every area of Southern Ontario is now under some type of fire ban as extreme fire danger continues. We continue to recommend not starting any open fires as they may quickly become out of control.
High temperatures will range from 14°C to 24°C across the region.
