Daily Forecast: November 17, 2022



Snow squalls will develop off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay tomorrow for most of the day, while the rest of the region will see mainly cloudy skies with a chance of flurries.


Snow Squall Warnings and Winter Weather Travel Advisories are in effect from Environment and Climate Change Canada for areas where snow squalls are forecasted tonight into tomorrow. 25 to 30 cm is possible for some areas. Road closures are possible. Take caution if travelling in these areas.


LOOK AHEAD: Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued Snow Squall Watches for the Bruce Peninsula, Niagara Falls, Kingston - Prince Edward, and Parry Sound - Muskoka. Significant lake effect snow squalls are expected to develop tomorrow night and continue throughout the weekend before dissipating on Sunday. Extremely dangerous travel conditions are expected in these areas. Up to 60 cm of snow is possible for some areas, locally higher where the bands of snow set up. Any non-essential travel in these areas should be postponed until conditions improve. Further forecast details will be posted by tomorrow afternoon.


High temperatures will range from -2°C to 2°C across the region. Temperatures in red represent forecasted wind chill values.
