The lake effect snow event will be in full force tomorrow, causing heavy snow and poor visibility across portions of Central and Midwestern Ontario. It will also be noticeably colder across the area, and some passing flurries can't be ruled out.
The most impacted areas from these snow squalls are expected to be in Grey County, as well as areas near Huntsville, Parry Sound and Muskoka. Snow Squall Warnings and Snow Squall Watches are in effect, as well as Winter Weather Travel Advisories. Avoid travelling in these areas as weather and road conditions will deteriorate, and road closures are expected. Check the STORM CENTRE for more updates.
For the rest of the region, some flurries are expected, as well as some passing snow showers. Extreme Southwestern Ontario may see some bands of snow squalls from Lake Michigan throughout the day. These bands may quickly produce reduced visibility and snow covered roads. A mix of sun and cloud is expected for portions of Southwestern Ontario and the GTA.
Although temperatures will be above zero for many areas, it will feel like it is below zero across the region. Colder temperatures are expected for Saturday as well.
