Wednesday will bring varying weather conditions across the area. Rain is expected for much of the region, which may be heavy at times. Some isolated thunderstorms will also be possible. Southwestern Ontario will see a mix of sun and cloud before afternoon showers move in.
Some of the rain is expected to transition to wet snow for areas of higher elevation in Central Ontario. If any accumulation occurs, it is expected to remain on grassy surfaces, however depending on the temperature, it may begin sticking to roadways. Allow some extra travel time in the afternoon and evening.
Strong wind gusts are expected through much of the day, possibly up to 90 km/h for some areas, especially within thunderstorms. Power outages will be possible, and loose objects may be tossed around.
Temperatures will take a tumble tomorrow night, even with Southwestern Ontario seeing highs in the teens, low temperatures are expected to be at or below the freezing mark.
