Sunday will bring periods of rain, heavy at times, to the area. There will be a slight risk of thunderstorms, along with strong wind gusts.

High temperatures for the day will be met during the late morning to early afternoon hours. A cold front will begin sliding through the region around mid-day, which will lead to temperatures dropping across the area.

It appears the rain will be periodic for many areas, with rainfall totals expected to be between 10 and 30 millimetres. Watch for ponding on roadways throughout the day as the rain is falling.

Strong wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h are expected across much of the region tomorrow. Eastern Ontario will see wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h. Power outages will be possible, and tree branches may fall.
