A windy and chilly fall day is expected for Thursday, with rain beginning in many areas at varying times. All areas are expected to see rain by the late afternoon.

Special Weather Statements are in effect for Eastern Ontario. Environment Canada states rainfall of 30 to 60 millimetres will be possible between tomorrow and Friday. Flooding will be possible.

Gusty winds of 50 to 70 km/h are expected across the region. These gusty winds may toss around loose objects and cause tree branches to fall. Isolated power outages may occur.

The area will slowly dry out Friday, with rain ending from west to east. Breezy conditions are expected to continue, however.
