Extreme Cold Friday Morning

Friday morning will begin with bitterly cold temperatures across Southern Ontario, with all areas likely experiencing wind chills below -30ºC. Wind chills are expected to reach near -40ºC across portions of Central and Eastern Ontario during the morning hours.


There will be some relief during the afternoon hours, with many areas seeing wind chills between -20ºC and -25ºC.


Areas along the lakeshore will likely be warmer than inland areas. Additionally, if cloud cover develops, wind chills are expected to be less severe, as temperatures will remain higher.


Ensure you are dressed warmly if heading outside, and bring your pets indoors!
