A late winter storm will move into the area on Tuesday afternoon. The system will move into Southern Ontario will bring a mixed bag of precipitation. Rain and snow are on the table for the area.
Snowfall totals are expected to be the greatest along the 401 corridor, where 10 to 15 cm of snow are expected. Outside of this area, 5 to 10 cm is expected, and north of this area, Trace to 5 cm is expected.
Precipitation will begin as a rain/snow mix in Southwestern Ontario around 3 PM on Tuesday.
This is expected to last near 3 hours.
Following the rain/snow mix, precipitation will turn to all snow for Southwestern Ontario, and the rain/snow mix will move east to the Golden Horseshoe area.
The snow will continue until coming to an end early Wednesday morning.
