Hot and Humid Temperatures for Thursday

Hot and humid temperatures are expected across Southern Ontario for Thursday, with much of the region seeing humidex values of 40 to 45ºC. High temperatures in the low to mid 30s are expected across the area.

Temperatures and Humidex values will be lower for areas along the lakeshores. Specifically, the Bruce Peninsula will see humidex values of 35 to 40ºC.

Environment Canada has issued a Heat Warning for portions of the GTA and Niagara region. They state that daytime high temperatures up to 35ºC, peak humidex values up to 44ºC, and nighttime low temperatures of 20 to 23ºC, providing little relief from the heat, are expected. These conditions are expected Thursday and Friday, possibly continuing into the weekend for some areas.

Ensure you remain hydrated, even before you feel thirsty, and limit time outdoors during the heat of the day.
