NOTE: For simplicity purposes, this Snowfall Outlook includes snowfall amounts from snow squalls.
Southern Ontario will see some fairly hefty snowfall amounts overnight Wednesday through Thursday afternoon.
A very sharp cutoff in snowfall totals is expected, and the heaviest amounts will be likely through the Golden Horseshoe and Niagara region where 30 to 40 centimetres will be possible.
Some higher snowfall totals are possible along Lake Huron, depending where snow squalls set up overnight into Thursday.
Blowing and drifting snow is expected across the region due to wind gusts near 60 km/h expected through much of the day.
Significant impacts are expected across the region for the morning commute on Thursday. Ensure you allow adequate time if you must travel.
This system has been particularly difficult to forecast due to changes in storm track. Some areas may see variations in amounts totals due to the amount of moisture present. This may cause snowfall amounts to increase or decrease without much notice.
