A system is expected to impact the region on Boxing Day, bringing multiple types of precipitation to the area.
It appears Southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe have the best chance of seeing freezing rain, while areas further east, including the GTA, will likely see all snow from this event.
Some uncertainty remains with the exact track of the storm, meaning the precipitation type and locations impacted remains uncertain. However, for areas that see freezing rain, some rain and ice pellets will also be possible.
Travel delays will be possible due to poor road and weather conditions. Strong wind gusts up to 60 km/h may contribute to travel delays, and may cause power outages.
