Daily Forecast: March 8, 2024

Rain will move into Southwestern Ontario during the afternoon to evening hours tomorrow, while much of the region will see mainly cloudy skies through most of the day. Eastern Ontario will see a mix of sun and cloud. High temperatures will be much cooler along Lake Ontario due to lake breeze.

Special Weather Statements have been issued for all of Southern Ontario by Environment Canada. They state that 20 to 40 mm of rain is expected across the region, however there remains some uncertainty regarding where the heaviest rainfall will end up. They also say that freezing rain is possible through the Ottawa Valley. Rain will transition to flurries late Saturday for many areas, while Snow Squalls develop Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, leading to snow and blowing snow on Sunday.

We are also experiencing some uncertainty regarding the precipitation types and locations. We will be posting a full STORM CENTRE update tomorrow with all of the details you need to know.

High temperatures will range from 8°C to 17°C across the region.
