Large Severe Weather Threat Thursday



Severe weather is possible across the region today. Heavy rain, small hail, strong wind gusts and a few tornadoes are all possible.


The greatest risk area is the High/Red risk region, which includes Goderich, Tobermory, Orangeville, Barrie, Parry Sound and Bancroft. In this region, the main threats will be heavy rain, small hail, strong wind gusts and the potential for a few tornadoes. There is a high level of severe weather ingredients in this area.


The second greatest risk is the Moderate/Orange region, which includes Windsor, London, Brantford, Toronto, Peterborough, Belleville and Ottawa. In this region, the main threats will be heavy rain, small hail, strong wind gusts and the potential for an isolated tornado.


The lowest risk today is the Elevated/Yellow region, which includes Niagara, Kingston and Cornwall. In this region, the main threats will be heavy rain, small hail and strong wind gusts.
