Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
Sarnia - Petrolia - Western Lambton County
Watford - Pinery Park - Eastern Lambton County

At 3:30 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to toonie size hail. This severe thunderstorm is located near Brigden, moving southeast at 35 km/h. Hazard: Toonie size hail and 100 km/h wind gusts. A tornado is also possible. Locations impacted include: Oil Springs, Brigden, Bentpath and Oil City. A second severe thunderstorm is located near Sombra, moving southeast at 35 km/h. Hazard: Toonie size hail and 100 km/h wind gusts. A tornado is also possible. Locations impacted include: Wallaceburg, Port Lambton, Sombra and Becher.
Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
