Severe Thunderstorms are likely once again across Southern Ontario today. Above is our Severe Weather Outlook. Those in the High/Red and Moderate/Orange regions should have multiple ways to receive weather alerts and have a plan in case of severe weather.
A squall line will move into the Georgian Bay and Lake Huron shoreline areas around 4-6 PM and will move across the region.
The High/Red area includes Windsor, London, Goderich, Kitchener, Kincardine, Tobermory, Midland, Newmarket, Port Perry, and Parry Sound. In these areas, the main threats will be heavy rain, large hail, strong wind gusts of 110 km/h or greater and the potential for a few tornadoes.
The Moderate/Orange area includes Simcoe, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Toronto, Oshawa, Peterborough and Bancroft. In these areas, the main threats will be heavy rain, large hail, strong wind gusts of 100 km/h or greater and the potential for an isolated tornado.
The Elevated/Yellow area includes Belleville, Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall, Ottawa, Renfrew and Barry's Bay. In these areas, the main threats will be heavy rain, large hail, strong wind gusts of 100 km/h or greater.
