Snow Squalls will affect areas off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay on Tuesday, as well as portions of Eastern Ontario. Widespread blowing and drifting snow is expected through the day.

Snow Squalls will begin developing early Tuesday and will continue through much of the day. The highest accumulations will likely include areas such as Chatsworth, Owen Sound, Wiarton, Sauble Beach and Southampton. Within these areas, 25 to 50 centimetres is likely by the end of the day Tuesday. 15 to 25 centimetres is likely for areas such as Lion's Head, Kincardine, Tiverton, Hanover, Flesherton and Meaford.

5 to 15 centimetres is likely for areas such as Goderich, Orangeville, Barrie, Huntsville, Parry Sound, Cobourg, Belleville and Kingston. For the rest of the region, some isolated snow squalls and snow showers are expected, which will lead to snowfall amounts less than 5 centimetres.

With wind gusts of 50 km/h expected across much of the region, blowing and drifting snow is expected. Some areas along Lake Erie see wind gusts approaching 60 to 70 km/h. Poor visibility and poor road conditions will likely be the result of the blowing snow, and road closures will be possible. Ensure you allow adequate travel time throughout the day on Tuesday.

Snow Squall Warnings (Yellow Level), Blowing Snow Advisories (Yellow Level) and Snow Squall Watches (Yellow Level) are in effect from Environment Canada.
