Another round of snow squalls are expected to develop late tonight and will persist into Sunday for some areas. All areas will likely see snow during the day Saturday, with a combination of heavy snow showers and snow squalls expected across the region. These snow showers are likely to cause reduction in visibility and may quickly cover roadways.

Snow squalls will develop for areas off Georgian Bay late tonight and will continue through much of the day tomorrow. The most impacted areas are likely to see between 25 and 50 centimetres, with locally higher amounts possible.
For areas off Lake Huron, snow squalls will develop tonight as well, and may persist into Sunday. The most impacted areas will also likely see between 25 and 50 centimetres, with locally higher amounts possible.
Wind gusts up to 60 km/h are also expected, which will create blowing and drifting snow. Poor visibility is expected for many areas, along with poor road conditions. Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly. Snowfall rates of 5 to 10 centimetres will be possible, creating difficulties for road crews. The following highways are expected to be impacted: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 21, 23, 93, 35, 60, 118, 124, 141 and 400. Road closures will be possible.

Some additional snow squalls may also develop near Kingston, and impact travel along Highways 15, 33, 37, 38, 62 and 401. There will also be some snow squalls that affect areas near Lake Erie, likely impacting travel along Highways 3, 58, 405, 406, and the QEW. 5 to 15 centimetres are expected in these areas.
Snow squalls are expected to begin weakening late Saturday for areas off Georgian Bay, and through the day on Sunday for areas off Lake Huron.
Environment Canada has issued Snow Squall Watches (Orange and Yellow levels), as well as Special Weather Statements.
