Snow squalls will begin for areas off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay late in the day on Sunday, bringing 25 to 50 centimetres of snow to the hardest hit areas.
Some snow is expected during the day Sunday, but snow squalls are expected to form and intensify during the evening hours. Snowfall rates of 5 centimetres are possible, especially overnight into Monday morning. These snow squalls will weaken through the day Monday.

Snow Squall Warnings and Winter Weather Travel Advisories have been issued by Environment Canada. They state total snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 centimetres are expected for areas off Lake Huron, with 10 to 25 centimetres expected for areas off Georgian Bay.

The highest snowfall totals are expected in Southwestern Ontario, including Dorchester, Exeter, Ingersoll, London and St. Mary's. 25 to 50 centimetres appears possible within these areas.

Areas off Georgian Bay, including Angus, Barrie, Innisfil and Newmarket are expected to see 15 to 25 centimetres.
Strong wind gusts up to 70 km/h are expected to cause blowing and drifting snow, leading to poor visibility and road conditions. Road closures will be possible. If planning to travel in affected areas late Sunday through Monday, ensure you drive to weather and road conditions. Snow squalls can cause conditions to vary from sunny skies to very poor visibility within only a few kilometres.
