Discussion
To begin this forecast, it is important to note that the type of precipitation can change based on a temperature change of half a degree. We have taken all information into account to create this forecast.
Precipitation will move in early Wednesday morning, bringing rain and freezing rain. At times throughout the day, precipitation may transition to ice pellets, and to snow.
Areas that are expected to see freezing rain are expected to see the highest impacts, due to strong wind gusts expected in addition to the freezing rain. Power outages and tree damage are likely. Untreated roadways and sidewalks will become ice covered and slippery.
For areas east of the GTA, steady snowfall is more likely. Poor visibility in heavy snow is likely. Roads will become snow covered and slippery quickly.
Heavy rainfall and some rumbles of thunder will be possible in Southwestern Ontario, where 10 to 20 millimetres of rain is expected.
Flooding is likely for areas that see rain, due to the rain in combination with melting snow and warmer temperatures.
