Discussion
A winter storm will move in Southern Ontario late Tuesday night, and will bring heavy snowfall to the region. Precipitation is expected to begin as rain in Southwestern Ontario before transitioning to snowfall, and the snow will continue until early Friday morning.
Strong wind gusts of up to 70 km/h are expected across many regions, which will create poor travel conditions when paired with accumulating snow. Non-essential travel for Thursday should be postponed in the hardest hit regions.
This system has been particularly difficult to forecast due to tight temperature gradients and changes in the storm's track. For more specific details on this winter storm, please see our outlooks below. Further outlook updates are possible.
