A system will move into Southern Ontario late Saturday afternoon. Rain is expected to begin in Southwestern Ontario before changing to snow. The snow will spread throughout the province and will continue through Sunday afternoon. There is the potential for freezing rain and ice pellets with this system.
A widespread 10 to 15 cm is expected across the region, with 5 to 10 cm expected in the GTA, the Golden Horseshoe and along the Highway 11 corridor.
Wind gusts of up to 60 km/h are expected as well, causing blowing and drifting snow, as well as poor visibility.
Road conditions will deteriorate across the region Saturday evening into Sunday. Caution is advised if travelling.
