Secure those Halloween decorations! Strong wind gusts will develop tonight into Wednesday morning across the region, with areas in Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario expected to see wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h. Eastern and Central Ontario are expected to see wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h.
As we get through the day tomorrow, it appears that the strong wind gusts will ease slightly for most areas. The Bruce Peninsula is expected to continue seeing wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h, while Southwestern and Midwestern Ontario see wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h. Central and Eastern Ontario as well as the GTA are expected to see wind gusts of 50 to 60 km/h.
By tomorrow night into Thursday, winds look to increase again, with much of the region seeing wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h. Central Ontario can expect wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h.
It appears that the region will remain under Wind Warning criteria over the next two days, however these wind gusts will be fairly strong still and may cause damage, especially to any Halloween decorations. Ensure your decorations are secured or bring them inside. Some strong wind gusts look possible on Thursday as well, however there is some uncertainty with the exact speeds and locations, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates.
P.S. We had an issue with our map, so we reverted to our old map. But rest assured it will be fixed for our next outlook!
