Justin Trudeau has shared the following information on how the federal government is keeping Canadians safe.
As of today, if you are flying into Canada, you must provide a negative COVID-19 test result prior to boarding your flight. The test must be conducted within 72 hours of your departure. If you do not comply, you will be denied from boarding.
When arriving in Canada, you must still quarantine for 14 days. Officers will confirm your quarantine plans. Public health officials and provincial law enforcement will verify compliance. He urges that if you do not respect quarantine, you will face serious consequences.
The federal government continues to advise against non-essential travel at this time.
