Special Air Quality Statements remain in effect for much of the region, but are slowly coming to an end from north to south. Smoke is expected to affect air quality tomorrow, and may persist into Wednesday for some areas.

There will be a slight risk for showers and possibly some thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Some more showers appear possible for Wednesday.
