Severe Weather Potential Tuesday

Severe weather is possible across the region today. Hot and humid temperatures will help prime the environment for severe thunderstorms to develop.


The greatest area for severe weather will be in the Elevated/Yellow area in Southwestern Ontario. These areas include Windsor, Sarnia, Chatham, London and St. Thomas. In these areas, threats will include heavy rain, small hail and strong wind gusts.


The Green/Low area includes areas such as Goderich, Brantford, Simcoe, Hamilton and Niagara Falls. In these areas, threats will include heavy rain and strong wind gusts.


The Light Green/Very Low area includes areas such as Kincardine, Kitchener, Oakville, Toronto, Orangeville, Barrie and Owen Sound. In these areas, threats will include heavy rain.


The Seafoam/Non-Severe area includes all other areas. In these areas, non-severe thunderstorms are expected.
