Severe Weather Potential Tuesday

Severe Weather is possible throughout Southern Ontario today, with the greatest risk being across Central and Eastern Ontario. Hot and humid temperatures will set the scene for severe thunderstorms this week.


The greatest risk is the Yellow/Elevated area which includes areas such as Kitchener, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Toronto, Barrie, Tobermory, Bracebridge, Belleville, Peterborough, Ottawa, Kingston, Cornwall and Parry Sound. In these areas, the main threats will be heavy rain, strong wind gusts, small hail and the chance for an isolated tornado.


The Green/Low area includes areas such as London, Cayuga, Sarnia, Chatham-Kent and Windsor. In these areas, the main threats will be heavy rain, strong wind gusts and the chance for small hail.
